Synopsis

Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) is seemingly the last person to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

    Movieweb has caught up with director David Hackle and actress Betsey Russell about their latest film 'Saw V'. Hackle talks about designing the traps for the Saw series, and how detailed the script is about the traps. He also talks about being able to produce a Saw every Halloween, and how he plans to top Saw V in VI. Russell talks traps and about her returning role as Jigsaw's ex-wife, 'Jill'. 'Saw V' is out in theaters now.

    "What if someone had got their hands trapped in a glass jar and they're smashing the jars off their hands to survive?' The jars thing didn't seem to work so well and then it turned into, 'Well, what if she stuck her hand into it? What if she stuck both her hands into it?' She's delerious, she'll do anything to get that antidote out. That is truly one of my favorites. It was so elegant and so simple. Visually, it looked so great when the blood was dripping down her arms..."

    FEARnet has interviewed 'Saw V' actor Tobin Bell. Bell talks about the development of Jigsaw and the messages he feels is getting across to the public, in particular, the younger generations. He also shares he will be voicing the Saw video game, and his newest projects currently in the works. Tobin also shares about being the devil himself. 'Saw V' is out in theaters now.

    "...I think some of the concepts, some of the things that are on his mind are what makes the films are layered as they are – apart from the wonderful traps and tricks and twists and frightful moments.  If you can add other textures to the films that make them a little bit smarter then I think that’s really good to do.  And surprisingly enough, a lot of the fans that I talk to talk about those concepts..."

    FEARnet has posted an exclusive interview with ‘Saw VI’ director Kevin Greuter. Grueter talks about how much of a challenge ‘Saw VI’ has proved to be as it gets harder to produce an even better and unexpected sequel. He also dishes on setting the tone for the next installment, and influences he plans to bring to the series. ‘Saw VI’ hits theaters October 23rd of next year and we can safely say we’ll be seeing Tobin, Costas Mandylore and Mark Rolsten once again.

Jigsaw’s dead and Amanda’s dead, and we obviously need to keep Jigsaw’s presence in the film because that’s the focal point of these movies.     411 Mania has sat down with Jigsaw’s ex-wife Betsey Russell of ‘Saw V’. Russell chats about how comfortable she feels with her character Jill Truck, having played her in three Saw films already. The actress also talks about what it was like changing directors on ‘Saw V’, and working with Julie Benz and Megan Good. Russell also touches on the changes of the business side of Hollywood since the eighties and coming out of retirement for the Saw series.

    “…If you think you're gonna move to Hollywood and make it and be a star and not have any backup plan, well, think again, because most actors and actresses don't make it and don't get lucky and don't have that "it" factor and aren't at the right place at the right time…"
